BTS

BTS (Bangtan Sonyeondan), also known as the Bangtan Boys, is a seven-member South Korean boy band formed by Big Hit Entertainment.

They specialize in producing award-winning art and communicating important messages through it. With fans, named ARMY, worldwide, they have created an enormous supportive fandom that has been with them through thick and thin since 2013, and will continue to support them throughout their journey.

 

BTS is known to be an authentic and original KPOP group, bringing the industry a fresh face and refreshing vibes. Unlike many KPOP groups and idols, BTS are not afraid to show their true selves and be silly and odd. A lot of KPOP idols these days are very generic and seem to be cut-out clone copies of each other. In comparison, BTS is energetic and boyish, while also maintaining modesty and humbleness. They are also known for writing and producing most of their own music. BTS is a group of very talented and youthful boys, who are all extremely skilled in their profession.

FAKE LOVE

Rap monster is a main rapper, record producer and a songwriter. He´s surname is Kim Nam Joon and was born September 12, 1994 in Ilsan, South Korea.

He has an IQ of 148, having scored in the top 1.3% of the nation in the University Entrance Examination for language, math, foreign language and social studies. RM is also fluent in English, which he learned with his mother as a child and through watching Friends.

RM was recruited as BTS' first member back in 2010 during a Big Hit talent audition.

On June 13, 2013, RM made his debut as a member of BTS on Mnet's M! Countdown with the track "No More Dream" from their debut single album 2 Cool 4 Skool. He has produced and written lyrics for a variety of tracks on all of BTS' albums. RM released his first solo mixtape, Rap monster on March 17, 2015. The mixtape was ranked 48th on Spin's "50 Best Hip Hop Albums of 2015".

On April 9, 2015, Primary released his EP (Extended Play), 2-1 on which RM, along with Kwon Jin Ah, was featured in the song, "U".

RM collaborated with Marvel for Fantastic Four's soundtrack. The digital single, "Fantastic" featuring Mandy Ventrice, was released on August 4, through Melon, Genie, Naver Music and other music sites.

Jin is a vocalist, a official visual and the oldest in BTS. His surname is Kim Seok Jin and was born on December 4, 1992 in Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. Before joining the band, Jin intended to work at his father's company. However, he was scouted on the streets due to his otherworldly appearance. Kim Seok Jin was discovered on the street while in University Studying Acting, and was invited to audition for BigHit Entertainment.

In 2011, he enrolled at Konkuk University in southeastern Seoul, majoring in film. He graduated in February, 2017. He is currently pursuing further studies at Hanyang Cyber University. Though he’s had his hand in songwriting before, Jin had his first attempt at producing last year for his song “Awake.” A melancholic tune that blends orchestral balladry with a rhythmic bass, the BTS member put his all into his solo song on the group's Billboard 200-ranked album Wings.

Suga is a lead rapper, songwriter and record producer and his surname is Min Yoon Gi. Suga was born on March 9, 1993, in Daegu, South Korea. He attended Taejeon Elementary School, Gwaneum Middle School, and Apgujeong High School. By the age of 13, he began to write music, lyrics and learned about MIDI. From then on he began composing and arranging music, rapping, and performing.

In 2017, Suga composed the song "Wine" for singer Suran, who he had previously worked with for a single on his mixtape.

The record peaked at number two on the Gaon Digital Chart and won best Soul/R&B track of the year at the Melon Music Awards on December 2, 2017. Suga also received the "Hot Trend Award" for his work on the track.

Suga re-released his mixtape for digital purchase and streaming in February of 2018. The success of the reissue placed it at number three on Billboard's World Albums Chart, number five on the Heatseekers Albums chart, and number 74 on the Top Album Sales chart. It also caused Suga's solo alias, Agust D, to reach number 46 on the Emerging Artists chart for the week of March 3.

Suga is responsible for writing, composing and arranging, as well as mixing and mastering his material.

Jhope´s surname is Jung Ho Seok and his position in the group is Lead Rapper, Main Dancer and Sub Vocalist, he is also a songwriter and record producer. Jung Ho-seok was born on February 18, 1994, in Gwangju, South Korea, where he lived with his parents and older sister.

Before debuting with BTS, he was part of the underground dance team Neuron. J-Hope had been relatively well-known for his skills in dance prior to his debut; he won various local prizes for dance, including placing first in a national dance competition in 2008. His skills in dance eventually led him to gain interest in singing and rapping, helping motivate him to audition as an idol trainee.

As a trainee, J-Hope was featured as a rapper in Jo Know's song "Animal", which was released in 2012. J-Hope released his first solo mixtape, Hope World, worldwide on March 1, 2018. The album was met with a positive reception, and his debut at number 63 (and subsequent peak at number 38) made him the highest charting solo K-pop artist on the Billboard 200.

Jimin´s surname is Park Ji Min and his position is Lead Vocalist and Main Dancer. Jimin was born on October 13, 1995 in Busan, South Korea. When he was child he attended the Busan's Hodong Elementary School, later he was a top student in Department of Dance at Busan High School of Arts.

Jimin became interested in a singing career after watching one of Rain’s performances. After his dance teacher recommended to audition, he auditioned for Big Hit Entertainment and he got in. After moving to Seoul he start to attend Korea Art School with V, another BTS band member, and they graduated in 2014.

In October 2016, BTS released their second full studio album 'Wings'. Jimin revealed about how he had worked out so hard for almost 2 years and lost 7Kg/15 lbs by restricting his diets. Jimin said that he thinks that many fans loved the beginning of "Blood Sweat & Tears" because he did his best on doing that part and he shared the secret behind that part. 

Jimin contributed in writing his solo song 'Lie'. It was mentioned that 'Lie' was implied to explain about Jimin's past insecurities and struggles with himself.
 

V is a vocalist, visual, songwriter and actor and his surname is Kim Tae Hyung. V was born on December 30, 1995 in Daegu, South Korea.  V joined Big Hit Entertainment as a trainee and him being selected as the seventh member of BTS was kept a secret and only revealed in their debut promotions.
After graduating from Korean Arts High School in 2014, V enrolled at Global Cyber University.  

V was first credited for music composition in The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, Part 1 when he co-wrote and co-produced the song "Hold Me Tight". He also contributed to writing lyrics for the song "Fun Boyz", co-composed by fellow member Suga. For the song "Run", V's melody was used with Jungkook's original lyrics for the next album The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, Part 2. He then did the same for a solo single called "Stigma" from the album Wings, which charted at 26 on the Gaon Music Chart and 10 on the Billboard World Digital Singles Chart. V has also released, unofficially, a cover of "Hug Me" with fellow BTS bandmate, Jhope.

In 2016, V made his acting debut with a supporting role in KBS2's historical drama Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth, using his real name as acting stage name. He also collaborated with fellow BTS member Jin for the Hwarang soundtrack entitled "Even If I Die, It's You".

On June 8, 2017, he released the self-produced song "4 o'clock" which features fellow BTS member RM, to celebrate BTS’ fourth anniversary.

Jungkook is a main vocalist, lead dancer, sub rapper and the youngest in BTS. He was born on September 1, 1997 in Busan, South Korea. He used to attend Baek Yang Middle School and Seoul School of Performing Arts High School. Jungkook is the youngest boy in his family.

Jungkook attended an audition called Superstar K in an attempt to pursue his dream of becoming a singer. However, he was eliminated before the final elimination round. After being seen on Superstar K, he was then scouted by seven different entertainment agencies. Despite the numerous offers, he decided to choose Big Hit Entertainment; where his future bandmate Rap monster was also a trainee and seeing him rap in person was the reason behind his choice for that company. At the age of 14, he was sent to Los Angeles for dance training and was taught different styles of dance.

He was signed with Big Hit Entertainment and became a member of BTS in 8th grade and went on to debut with BTS on June 13, 2013 at the age of 15. In October 2016, BTS released their second full studio album 'Wings'. In which marks each member having their own solo track on an album together. Jungkook's solo being "Begin". Jungkook mentioned he found it difficult to express his thoughts and feelings on paper himself, so he received help from RM in writing his solo.

                   ALBUMS

BTS debuted in 2013 with the single album 2 Cool 4 Skool, then BTS made a comeback with an extended play O!RUL8,2?. In February 2014, BTS released their second extended play, School Love Affair. BTS released their first studio album, Dark & Wild, in August 2014. It was BTS first album to break into the US Top Heatseekers chart.

The group's third extended play, The Most Beautiful Moment In Life, Part 1, was released in April 2015.BTS made a comeback with their fourth extended play, The Most Beautiful Moment In Life, Part 2, in November 2015. BTS first compilation album, The Most Beautiful Moment In Life: Young Forever was released in May 2016. To wrap up 2016, the group released their second studio album, Wings, in October 2016. It debuted at 26 on the Billboard 200, making it the highest-ranking Korean album ever on the chart at the time. Its repackage album, You Never Walk Alone, was released in February 2017. In September 2017 BTS released their fifth extended play, Love Yourself: Her. In April 2018 BTS released their third Japanese studio album called Face Yourself.

“Fake Love” is the lead single off BTS' 3rd full studio album, Love Yourself ‘Tear’, releasing May 18, 2018. The song will be performed for the first time at the Billboard Music Awards, televised May 20, 2018. BTS is also scheduled to perform the song on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on May 25, 2018.
